Wolves drew two all with improving Frenford in another exciting game. Albert bagged a brace, his first from a fine cross by debutant and man of the match Louis, his second enough to rescue a point after Wolves had let an early lead slip MOTM: Louis

Wolves u12s 4 Ilford Colts 1

Wolves showed real strength this week as they beat a very good Ilford Colts team. Walthamstow won the game in the first half as they dominated from the start. Sol set up an early goal for Eduardo to open the scoring. Eduardo then set up 2 more Wolves goals before half time. The first scored by Lucius to give his team a 2-nil lead. Then Sol converted the next one as Walthamstow took a 3-nil lead into the half time break. The second half was a much closer affair as Ilford pulled a goal back early on. This is when Walthamstow showed their strength as the kept playing well and battled through somesustained Colts pressure. With 10 mins to go Neo won a penalty as he was fouled in the box and Isaac coolly struck the killer blow as Wolves ran out 4-1 winners. A great result against a good team. MOTM: Thirran

Wolves smashed another eight goals past London Apsa to stay close on the league leaders heels. After a difficult start to the match, with the teams sharing four early goals, Wolves ran out comfortable winners with two goals each from Nate and Freddie, the others coming from Michael, Charlie, Oscar and Harry. Wolves u16s 4 Elite 3

Wolves stayed top after beating fellow title contenders Elite in a pulsating seven goal thriller in the rain. Dexter opened the scoring with a brilliant goal, picking up the ball in the Elite half and beating two opponents before playing a clever one two with Michael and coolly sidefooting past the keeper. Elite came back strongly, deservedly went in front with two quick goals and looked the more likely winners but first Michael then Jessiah struck for Wolves before Tyler made it 4-2 set up by Zach. Elite pulled one back late on but the points went to Wolves. Man of the match went to Hani who came out on top in a fine battle with Elite's impressive and very quick winger MOTM: Hani

Wolves u13s 6 Eclipse Blue 6

Wolves took part in an incredible six all draw against an Eclipse side who forfeited the points by fielding older players. Albert gave Wolves the lead latching on to a shot by Zak after Tyrese's excellent corner. Eclipse came back instantly but Eduardo put Wolves in front again with the assist coming from Roan. After two quick goals from Eclipse, Albert made it three all after more good play by Roan. Again Eclipse went in front but the excellent Tyrese fired home straight from a corner to make it four all at half time. Albert gave Wolves the lead early in the second half set up by Eduardo but sloppy defending let in Eclipse twice more before brilliant play by Albert ended with an Eclipse defender unluckily deflecting past his own keeper to complete the scoring MOTM: Tyrese

Wolves u12s 2 Globe Rangers 3

Posted by Walthamstow Wolves FC on December 10, 2016 at 1:50 PM Comments comments (0)
Wolves undeservedly came off worse in a five goal thriller despite coming from behind twice and creating numerous second half chances to win the game. Globe took the lead early on but man of the match Sol, whose industrious performance up front kept the Globe defenders on their toes throughout, converted Imran's cross. Globe went ahead again before Imran made it 2-2 after excellent work by Louis. Wolves poured forward looking for a winner but, after several goalmouth scrambles and near misses, were undone on the break minutes from the end. Despite the final score Wolves should be encouraged by another fine display of passing. MOTM: Sol

Wolves continued their winning ways with a convincing win over with a hat trick from Michael and two each from Jessiah and Tyler. The scoring was completed by Freddie Charlie and Dexter who, for the second week running, was awarded the man of the match. MOTM Dexter

Wolves u13s 1 Mindset 9

Posted by Walthamstow Wolves FC on December 10, 2016 at 1:40 PM Comments comments (0)
Despite an extraordinary start to the game, when Wolves scored a quite brilliant goal after a fine through ball by Tyrese was converted by Albert with a stunning lob and should, immediately afterwards, have been awarded a penalty after Imran was fouled, Wolves were given a comprehensive footballing lesson by a very good Mindset team. Wolves battled hard to keep their opponents out but even with Marcel performing heroics in goal could do nothing to stem the flow of goals as Mindset repeatedly passed their way up the pitch stylishly and finished clinically. MOTM Marcel

Wolves u12s 3 Cowley 4

Posted by Walthamstow Wolves FC on October 30, 2016 at 2:05 PM Comments comments (0)

This was yet another close encounter for Wolves as they came up against a very good Cowley team. It was Walthamstow that took the lead as Isaac made a great run down the left wing and crossed for Eduardo to score. Crowley then scored two quick goals before Mikael set up Isaac who hit a great shot from 25 metres out that sailed over the keepers head to make it 2-2 at half time. Wolves dominated much of the second half and the pressure eventually told when Imran took a quick throw to Roan who blasted the ball past the goalkeeper to give his team a 3-2 lead. Cowley did not give up and came back to score again and the match was all square until right near the end when Walthamstow conceded a free kick near the half way line that Cowley were fortunate to score from . A 4-3 defeat was hard to take for Wolves as their efforts deserved a victory this week. A great game and MOM this week is Isaac.

Toby Mikael Imran Louis Isaac Lucius Sol Roan Imran Eduardo

Wolves dropped their first points of the season but remain unbeaten after a 2-2 draw. Harry put Wolves ahead assisted by Michael but they lost their lead with ten minutes remaining. Michael looked to have secured the points with a right foot drive after good work by Nate but Wolves conceded a needless free kick in the dying seconds and were made to pay
